Financial Accountant - Dublin

We are currently exclusively recruiting for an amazing opportunity with one of the fastest-growing Irish-owned food retail businesses. In this role as a financial accountant, you’ll get hands-on exposure to the full day-to-day finance function, reporting directly to the financial controller.

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated finance professional who wants to join a rapidly growing business and make a high-impact, value-add contribution to their finance function and work with an incredible team.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage AP/AR, process supplier invoices, oversee expenses, and maintain accurate financial records, ensuring smooth and efficient financial operations.
  • Play a key role in month-end reporting, preparing reconciliations, journals and financial schedules, providing reliable information to support the Financial Controller and drive accurate, timely reporting.
  • Complete regular bank and cash reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and ensure financial data is accurate and up to date.

  • Assist with payroll preparation, supplier payments, stock and waste reporting, and gross profit data checks, helping maintain strong financial controls across the business.

Experience:

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with 0–2 year's post-qualification experience, ideally within a fast-paced, multi-site business.
  • Experience supporting the preparation of monthly management accounts, journals and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Strong Excel skills and confidence working with accounting software and financial reporting systems.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
